Food Safety Alert: Sea Moss Gel recalled due to health concerns
Diva Fam announced Sea Moss Gel Superfood products are involved in a national recall. There is concern the products are not manufactured in accordance with regulatory requirements, which could lead to botulism contamination. The products are sold online nationwide and may have been sold in Mesa County. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection to these products.
Description of recalled products
- All lots and flavors of True Sea Moss Gel Superfoods
- Packed in 16 oz. glass jars
- Manufactured prior to January 9, 2026

What consumers should do
- Check refrigerators for the recalled products and throw them out immediately.
- Consumers can contact Diva Fam at support@divafam.com or 818-751-3882 with questions.
- Contact a doctor right away if you develop symptoms after consuming the recalled products.
Botulism exposure description and risk
- Symptoms of botulism may include general weakness, dizziness, double vision, difficulty speaking or swallowing, and, in severe cases, difficulty breathing or muscle weakness.
- Botulism can be fatal. If a child is experiencing symptoms, seek immediate healthcare.
MCPH role in food recalls
There are systems in place to make sure the food people buy and eat is safe. When Mesa County Public Health (MCPH) has been made aware of a product being recalled that could have been distributed in Mesa County, MCPH shares the information so it reaches as many community members as possible.
